Im thinking of fishing there on 1/22 (wednesday). I should be there around 8:30. have to get my kids to the sitter.
Let me know if anyone is intereted. I have a few spots that generaly work good when the small fish invade the south shore.

Wellingtons south side has been slow. Never fished Chippewa. We have been on the fish at Spencer for the last  week, gills only and a few small crappie. Hoping to look for something other than gills. I hear Chippewa has good crappie. I've got some spots on the north side of Wellington that should produce crappie perch and walleye.

14" of ice. Some snow on top. Small area just northeast of ramp a little wet under the snow. Whole lake is locked. The bite has been extremely slow. There have been a few guys out, with same results. Lots of tiny perch again.

That's what I have been hearing as well. Thinking that place has been hit pretty hard in the summer and now it's drying up. Hope something happens because I used to love fishing there on the ice.
Thanks again for the conditions report, now I have to decide what I should hit from Ridgeville. Going to be on Erie again this week but taking a co-worker out who has never fished the hardwater before and wanted something closer to home.
Wondering what else to do, as this had always been my go to spot for inland.
