This is a recipe from my brother. He would always make this while we cleaned our catch.
Nothing to it but really good if you like shrimp.
Blue gill (or any pan fish) fillets and cut into shrimp size pieces.
Get a pot of water boiling with some salt in it.
When water is at a boil drop in chunks.
As soon as they hit bottom and turn white take them out, rinse an chill.
Serve with cocktail sauce and enjoy.
Taste a lot like shrimp cocktail :)

If you fish Erie in the soft water. Try Sheephead that way. Only the smaller white ones not the bigger brown ones. You would be surprised. I know they get a bad rap. Maybe you do not remember when they use to give away or throw out chicken wings!!

Just made a fresh batch of some gills I caught today...played hookie from work :)
The wife liked it. Maybe I can get here on the ice.
