Fishing blind as I have for years with no vex but managed to bang 5 keepers off the docks. Slow early but picked up nicely mid afternoon. slow jig worked best. Fish would bump and then sit back. Next jig they would hammer it. Small bait = small fish. Big bait = big fish. Kept 5 and let a couple others go. And of course had the one that got away. Depth was consistent with this time of year and color didn't seem to be a factor. Good luck
