Title: Any reports?
Post by: crv423 on February 19, 2015, 03:27:14 PM
I haven't been on the ice in a week, just wondering if anyone has been doing any good? I know mullygun got on a descent crappie bite, but has anyone else found anything? Not asking for your secret spot, just wondering if the bite has picked up. I have Friday thru Monday to fish but might just fish sat. and sun. I think weather wise those will be the best days. I have a couple more spots I want to try for eyes, and will post if I get on them, probably will have to stop by Kroger for some fish the way things have been going. Good luck and be safe.

Got into a nice bluegill bite at the marina yesterday about a half hour before sunset. All throwbacks. Glow tungsten with waxie at about 15 fow.

On a side note, I was finally able to get the jawjacker some action! Takes some tinkering to get the trigger right but it was game on, lots of fun.

Been catching tons of shorts still trying to find the good crappie they have been high in the water column that's for sure. I've been catching in 15 feet. May abandon the deep water and try some spots I like after ice out?

@ jray I have caught a few larger crappie and herd reports of them being caught in 25 plus fow.
