Title: Dock report 1/31
Post by: Just reeleyez on January 31, 2016, 06:43:05 PM
Decent bite this evening, landed 11 crappies with a few missed strikes and lost an eye around 5:30. Deadstick with a minnow and a small spoon were the producers.

Did you have to break through ice or were the docks clear?

Had to bust a little ice but it was very soft, like buckeye last night lol

Agreed quackpot, unless it gets damn cold I don't see anymore ice fishing this season unfortunately.

I don't mind fishing the docks,at least it's dry. I'm to heavy for thin ice, but I talked to the misses about a wilcraft.

Glad you got some Josh. Fished Rocky Fork Sun. morning for a few hours with 30inthabucket. Aaron got 1 bite and I couldn't even manage that. Wind was brutal and the fishing was worse. I agree that the weather will have to drastically change to form enough ice to fish. The water needs to cool down again before ice will start formng.

I was definitely surprised g. I'll more than likely be there Saturday morning. With the longer days I don't think teens and twenties are going to be enough. I'm sure it'll produce a few inches but not much more than that.

I don't need to drive it but I would love to be a repeat passenger. Let me know if you are going to Alum Sat. Josh. I am going somewhere, Rocky Fork or Alum.

I'm not a regular but may get down there.  I have the weekend with no with or kids and will only be deer hunting in the evenings so my mornings are open.

Good deal.  Look forward to seeing you guys.
