Title: Ice / Clarity ?
Post by: jiggerpro on February 07, 2018, 09:36:17 AM
So I am in a state of depression.  Had a four day trip planned to Simcoe for jumbo perch, and now they are calling for 6-12 inches of snow on the travel day of Friday for the entire route.  Not gonna do that towing a trailer/bike.

Any local updates on Indian ice/water clarity?

There’s 6”-7” in the back waters and on Long Pond. There’s areas of open water on the main lake area. North Fork is was a no go as of yesterday. I fished 3 different areas yesterday and water clarity was good.....

How was the fishing?  Anything more productive than others?

The fishing was a bit slow (remember I’m a newbie) caught gills, a couple of crappie, short saugeye and got broke off by a larger saugeye....way better than being in the office though!  ;D

Fished Dunns yesterday and only caught 1 short eye. Missed a few bites and only fished a vibe. Felt good to be on the ice again though.

Did you get to Dunn’s by walking through mound wood or park over there, I guess I’m asking if mound wood is safe

I parked over by Dunns. Don't know if Moundwood is safe or not. Sorry.
