Anybody heard or seen pics of a 23" walleye taken thru the ice 2-4? Heard it from a pretty reliable source BUT no pic?
Havent fished Nimi in a couple years maybe time for a trip :) lol

Not sure haven't heard, but if your source is Evinrude58 I would be very skeptical.🤣

lol nope it wasn't ...but will keep that in mind ;D

Haven't heard that, but I did catch a nice 22" 'eye this past summer. I released it, since I didn't have a stringer or something to put it in. They are out there.

Thats a nice one Kayak!

I haven’t heard, but they are in there. I got one 26” a few years back. Tied for biggest on the lake that year according to Eddies’s Bait. Once in a while you’ll stumble on one.

I moved to Ohio in ‘95 and I lived in the red triplex on the south shore that sits up on the hill. I grew up on St Clair chasing walleyes. I did not know what a saugeye was, but they were stocking them at that time, and a local guy told me about them. Fished Nimi 2-3 times a week until I moved in ‘99, and we used to catch limits constantly. When I left, the biggest saugeye class was pushing 6 lbs. curious if they are still stocking saugeye, or are there natural walleyes there? Loved that lake! The grass island out about 300 -400 yards from south shore and the area to the east of that to the next island was unbelievably productive for eyes and bass. Also caught my personal best northern pike out of there at 39 inches in the middle of a thunderstorm. Miss that lake a lot. I will make it back there someday.

That area was exactly where I got mine! Love that lake too!

Actually I did catch a 23 inch eye of 2/19 at Pymy and have pic but it is such a pain to post pics to here. It was the last fish of the season for me as the shoulder gave out on that trip.If I ever caught an Eye at Nimmy there would definitely be a pic as I have yet to even see one caught in around 20,000 hours of fishing there in the last 17 years.
