Title: Pond Ice'n
Post by: OhioFisher19 on January 10, 2010, 09:30:07 PM
As always they would run up to the bait and watch for anywhere from twenty second to five minutes. tried everything and only got one nice gill to bite and a real good largie hit also, on thursday we got these fish through about 5in of ice. Any suggestions on what will get those picky suckers to bite?

I think it has to do with the weather!

i noticed in one of ur vids that u used a bobber i would suggest trying to dead stick for them but ur basicly doing that with a bobber, i noticed this year at long island fishing for gills they would only hit when i held it perfectly still, i also had a bobber in the next hole and only caught 2 on it all day but i put a minnow six inches above a jig and waxy, so the minnow would move the jig for me, i think the movement was the problem.
