I spoke with a very good source and he reported the same thing. This nice warm weather warmed up the lake again and the fishing is slow. He will keep me posted when they turn on.

If you can't get to the lake yourself, call and ask Wayne at LeVan's bait and tackle on the north side. He'll give you the gospel truth about what's happening around the lake in terms of the bite.

Dude.. You made me laugh for almost 5 min straight!! I cant believe you haha. Id say Im a good enough scout to find out in a short time if anything is going on, and speaking of that nothing has been going on for a while. I wne ttonight and picked up 3 under 15 in... talked to 15 or so guys all around the lake and I saw 2 keepers.. Nobody has been catching much.

Hopefully it turns up here before the end of the week. Nice cold nights and all, we should be in good shape.

A lot of people have to rely on our posts when we do well or not to determine whether they'll spend their time and gas on a trip. Where did you get your 3 fish in 15 minutes? Any keepers?

I fished for about an hour and a half the other day and nobody around me caught anything.

That Orange or Chartruce jig and grub combo has been my go to bait on Indian Lake since I was a kid. I also like to trim the tail about halfway down on the twister tail and hook a minnow through the nose to tail out behind the plastic. This was the method I used to catch my first Saugeye on my own when I was a kid. A lot of good memories saugeye fishing that lake. I'm glad the fishery is still so strong.
