I started using this presentation this season due to the slow fishing. This is great when searching for active fish or where there are multiple species present. It's not uncommon to catch a largemouth bass on the bottom jig and a bull gill on the ice fly. I went this a.m. fishing and in 2 hours caught 4 largemouth and about 20 gills  ;D out of the only hole I drilled.

If you can't find them local, which might be difficult because of the odd size. Go to the strikemaster website, they're in stock and they ship pretty quick, I ordered mine last year and it only took about three days to get them to me.

Wait til closer to your trip before you buy tackle, it changes by the week on the big water. If your doing this trip for the first time, I highly recommend you contact a local guide or one of the guys on this site with experience. The lake is no joke, disrespect her and she'll kill you in a split second. If you stay on the mainland, there is always somebody willing to take you out and drop you off, just make sure you get picked back up ;D.

Three man sleds are heavy, unless your pulling it with a quad or a sled. 3 man pop ups aren't much better. It takes two people to set it up and three if it's windy. Before you spend the money, go out on the ice and check them out. Most guys will give you an honest review of there shanty.

Eskimo quickfish2. Fast light and durable, set up,take down in seconds, throw it in the sled an go! My buddy just bought a clam hub style 3 man, and the quality is poor at best. He has pin holes you can actually look through and has only used it once :-[. The buckles that you stake it down with broke on the first outing, and screw in ice anchors are terrible. He actually borrowed mine  from my Eskimo on sunday to tie the guy lines on in the wind to keep it from collapsing in :-\. Eskimo has a quality product, but if you can find a clam that is a couple of seasons old, buy it, it's better quality than the product there putting out now. Just my two cents.
