I know there have been a few guys on, and I will reach out and see if I can get Reliable information. I haven?t made it out yet due to the family having Covid, and my dad having a total knee replacement. Hoping to make it out this weekend.

I?m hoping to get out soon. I?ve had several extended family needs arise plus an upcoming knee replacement for my dad next week and I?ve not been able to even check the ice. Friday I?m going to check, but all the snow up north isn?t good. Keep us posted how it is down there. With no ice last couple years, I might make the run to Indian. But keep hoping for Erie to freeze up decent!

Me too. I got a couple trips last winter, but the last few years have been disappointing to say the least. And it doesn?t look good through the beginning week of January.

It is. Nothing is safe up here yet. I checked a few places on Friday and was amazed at the amount of open water still for as cold as it?s been. Even early ice places had just skimmed over. That?ll be mostly open again by tomorrow!

It seems to be in a 2 year cycle lately. 2 good years, then 2 crap years. This should be the start of 2 good years!! Fingers crossed!!

I did make it out yesterday on Portage. Tons of fish, but nothing great. 9” crappies and gills from 3-9”. It might be one and done this year for me. Hoping for a weather turn around!

Ok thanks! I figured it’d be weeks end before it’s safe. I’ve been on Zep before. Cool little lake. Was he on the upper or lower one? I’m hoping to be feeling better and over whatever it is I’ve got by the weekend. We will have ice for sure!

Toadfish, David doesn’t anymore, but IFO still does. He’s too busy with his pro career and managing the fishing expos. I’ll PM you my number and if we get good ice someone will be happy to take you out. I would love to do it, but my Indian experience is limited. I’ll get you in touch with a guide more experienced down there.
