Put away all the ice gear 😢😢. But did get the 14 ' boat ready to hit chippewa tomorrow and see what I can caught. Hope it not to windy . And I'm also going to try out my flasher .I'll report if I do any good
Had a good day with my boys .caught 35 perch but only kept 8 the rest were throw backs. 24' of water, 5 1/2 "of ice ,caught on tungsten jigs tipped with wax warms. I've never seen such clear water ,at a depth of 18'you could see bottom . If anyone could let me know do they have any bigger perch in this water lol,, say bigger than 7" ...let me know thx
Took the boys to my uncles pond this morning. Did good till about 9 and it slowed down .ended up with 39 and a bass. Ice was 5 " water was 7ft and caught all at about 6ft on tungsten jigs (small). Tipped with wax warms .
I'm the one with the gas auger that broke the rope.......you weren't kidding about bad luck when I got home to work on it I layed it against my work bench turned to get a tool and the thing slid off and broke the Handel off ......good thing I know a good welder .....got the ripe fixed and went to Spencer and never marked a fish ......what a day!!!!
Fished there today also marked fish at every spot we set up .....my boys out fished me again today lol.....10 crappie and 1 perch all throw backs no size but we had fun
Went out with dad and grandpa caught 86 gills averaging between 6"-7"with one at 9-1/2" biggest one we got this year. Ice was 8" fished for 2-1/2 hours had to put a small splitshot on today cuz they were so finicky with the bobber.....going to lake Erie next wkend as long as the wind cooperates....... I'll keep you guys posted
Took my 7 year old son to a private pond near home.I had so much fun teaching him the ice fishing way and watching him catch supper...... Thats what its all about...
FISHED A POND IN BURBANK TODAY WITH MY BOY AND DAD .HAD A GREAT TIME PULLED70 GILLS THREW THE ICE.MY SON AGE 7 CAUGHT MOST OF THEM I COULDNT GET MY POLE IN THE WATER CUZ HE WAS PULLIN THEM IN SO FAST ......GREEN SEEMED TO BE THE COLOR OF CHOICE TODAY .....GOOD LUCK TO ALL.....
