Good post guys! Something else that hasn't been mentioned ! Rather then stopping at the gas station ,or wherever in the morning for a coffee and smokes how about giving it to the guy who keeps u in bait during the season.  Need to consider these guys all year not just when we need minnows !

  Salt has nothing to do with cleaning the water minnows need a certain amount of salt in there metabolism as you continue to change the water it depleats and they die. City water will kill them quick soft water is better than raw well water

Minnows need salt there supply is depleated dont use table salt
