wanted to let everyone know ,odnr will be putting a new boat ramp and parking lot off of ticnor rd ending in 2018 ,but will close lansinger rd to only foot traffic.  gain a spot, lose a spot.

kid you not 3 years ago lansinger rd 20 inches of ice.  a family comes from across the lake trail side. I'm talking mom. 6 year old , dad with a 3 or 4 moth old in a back pack type thing and come up to my buddies and I and asked how thick is the ice? I was kinda rude in informing them how ignorant for what they had just done but damn, they literally had no Idea. granted it was 20 inches or so but they seen us and assumed it was safe.  see stuff all the time no safety gear, just an assumption that it must be safe cause he is out fishing.. wow

this is so true. Just yesterday was told buy what I thought was reliable sources that there was 4 to 5 inched of ice at clr well I spuded my way out and all I could find was 3 to 3.5 any where I drilled. did not have any trouble and did catch fish. what if it was a newbie ? going on this info ? scares me to think about it.  sorry rant over.

I was with a buddy  in a Silverado. didn't go far  after seeing another guy go through with 3 hits from his spud real easy hits. trying osp tomorrow.heard of better ice . if so its gonna be packed lol.

hey guys checked clr this evening 2to maybe 2/112 inches. there were 2 shantys out on east side watched one guy spud outside his shanty and on 3 hits went through.not very hard hits either.  please be careful guys too thin for my blood.

went by moggy again today dec 31 10 am clr 95% coverage opened up a little from yesterday could not get a thickness except at ramp dock 1 inch. main lake locked up as far as I could see from rt 43. Nimisilla res small bays locked up . lots of open water in places.


 Build it and they will come  lol

went out yesterday 11-18  skim ice around shoreline on clr and in a few small coves  it wont be long if the weather holds out  but 50 and rain coming isn't gonna help
