Not many posts here lately!  I fished on the PA side this past week at Tuttle.  Probably 30 fisherman, little or no bites.  10 Inches of good clear Ice.  Then fished off the Ohio Cabin Boat Ramp on Wednesday 10 Jan,  Ice was not as good, 3 inches of white stuff with 3 inches of clear underneath, a lot more snow on the ice, and some iffy areas..  Did catch a nice Perch measured 12 1/4 inches full of eggs.  Not much else to report, big thaw started, and today ending as I type this.  Hope to head back up the end of the week.

Went out this weekend, snow laid down this past week and was hard frozen Saturday morning.  Easiest pull I've had all year.  Ice was in great shape.  Probably 5 inches of snow on the ice loosened up today in the warmer weather but should freeze up again tonight.  Fishing for me was slow, only a few crappie, several bluegill and lots of perch, mostly throwbacks.  Saw Walleye on the aquaview, but couldn't get them to bite.  The lake will get messy through the week with rising temps so if you want to go, I would get up there soon.

The afternoon was a little better, not great.  I went out of cabin beach around noon, I think I walked on what was left of your tracks for a while.  Fished in 14 feet, caught perch off and on through the afternoon, only a few keepers.  Caught 2 nice catfish on tip-ups,  The bite turned on a little around 5pm, caught some really nice bluegills, 1 small walleye throwback, and 4 Crappie, one was 13 inches.  The drag back was hideous, I could barely see my own tracks, probably 8 to 10 inches of loose snow in places.  Ice was 17 inches thick where I fished.  Hopefully we get some rain to knock it down.  Last March I caught some real nice fish off whats left of the island there in 10 feet of water,

Went out of Cabin Beach on the Ohio side on Monday and Tuesday, fished from 12 to 18 feet of water.  Caught some nice jumbo perch and bluegill, a big cannel cat and a few small walleye.  Ice was 14 to 16 inches thick.  Didn't see anyone else on the lake until Tuesday evening when it warmed up a little.  Only a few inches of snow on the ice.  One large expansion crack, but everything was solid.  I have a aquaview and saw some nice walleye of all sizes.  The cold and getting close to 60 kept me from moving to find the fish, but had a blast.  Hope that helps.
