The forecast for next week looks like it will kill whatever we get from this cold snap. It might make this weekend our only shot. If anyone has info on current ice conditions, could you please post them. looks like Monday will be the best day unless single digits is your thing.

Thanks for the update. Gonna try tomorrow afternoon. Probably be my first and only trip this season. 50s and rain next week will surely kill it.

The overlook area was fine last Sunday. We've only had one day (Wed) that's been warm. I would think it is fine right now. The ice was 5-7 when I was there. The fishing was a little slow though.

Not a great day. only 5 keeper crappies but probobly caught 20 fish total. About 8 of those were whites.

Hey Guppy. Talked to you and yours there last year. Have you been gettin the good crappies at the VC this year? Had a nice 25 gill day on a pond near hillsboro last week but haven't been able to get out much this year. No money no funny. You know how it goes.

Thanks Slick. Still haven't caught anything on the lure you gave me but, the wife thinks it's cute. HaHa. Hopefully this little warm spell won't hurt it too bad. If it had 7-8 we should be OK. Might lose a couple of inches, Wanna give it a try sometime next week?

Any word on the ice over around the visitors center. Haven't seen a report about that area in about a week.
