Indian Lake / Re: 2-14-2021 Report

I was also out this past Monday with not much to show. Fished LI right away and found a few gills and that was about it. I moved around a few times with drilling holes near, or on the pad lines and around brush piles as well. After I'd find a few on the flasher it was a tough bite. I may try a smaller plastic next time out. Did have a big one on a sweedish pimple for about 5 seconds and then just ran and snapped my line. I was bummed ha. It was pretty cool though sitting in the snow on the lake, not many were out there. Going to go with a buddy tomorrow and perhaps even Sat or Sun. Good luck this weekend!

Indian Lake / Re: Indian this weekend

I was out on Wednesday morning and did not have much luck. Hit up several spots with only catching 3 fish total. Switched up bait numerous times. I could mark them on the flasher but it was difficult for them to take it. I heard this same response from several others out that day. Did not see a whole lot of fish being caught. Last Saturday was a much better day for me. Won't be able to go this weekend at all...I'll have to wait until Monday, depending on the weather coming up.

Good luck!

Indian Lake / Ice conditions??
« on: February 17, 2019, 11:35:26 AM »
Anyone fish Indian this weekend? I've been working all weekend and off these next 2 days and thought about possibly making the drive. Wasn't sure if the typical areas still had decent ice and if the edges were sturdy enough? Looks like its going to warm up towards the end of the weekend so this likely will be my last go for the year. Thanks in advance for the info!

I'm not liking all this snow talk...living in NW Ohio it sounds like they are calling for 1-3 inches on Thursday and then who the hell knows for this weekend?? Possibly 8-12in or even more. Sure hope that's not the case. I was hoping by next weekend we would have a solid 5 inches of ice or better but not sure if that well be the case? Any thoughts?? Probably just have to wait and see what mother nature brings our way! Fingers crossed!!

The next 10 days or so look pretty good for ice...and hopefully the days after will be even better as we get closer to the end of the month. Hopefully we only get minimal snow fall but we'll see. Its gotta be right around the corner right???

These next two weeks of temps look very depressing  :'( I guess I will have to take advantage of the temps being dang near 50 and do some open water fishing instead...and take Xmas lights down!

Thanks guys, I appreciate your feedback. I'm looking forward to ordering one here b4 the end of the year. Now if we can just get come cold temps to stick around and lock up that water for a while that would be great. Its gotta happen soon right? Hopefully the outlook for January stays true and that would do it!

General Discussion / Flasher Advice
« on: December 20, 2018, 08:35:45 PM »
Hey guys, was wondering if anyone had and advice when it comes to buying a flasher? I'm still fairly new to ice fishimg and went last year without one and wanted to make the purchase this year. I seen Humminbird has their Ice-35 portable flasher for $299 with a $55 rebate. Seems legit and I read lots of really good reviews about it. Anyone have this one or have any input? Not looking to break the bank and being fairly new it seemed like this model would fit my needs and be great. Thanks in advance for the help!

General Discussion / New to ice fishing
« on: December 26, 2017, 02:32:52 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm new to ice fishing and was looking for any tips that you may have mainly related to safety. Now I've read about all of the safety equipment and have watched videos on how to use them. I have a spud bar, ice picks, shoe spikes, a whistle, life jacket will always be present as well as a fishing buddy. I have seen many of you talk of a throw rope so was thinking that should also be with me. I won't be going out unless there's 4 inches or more. I'm sure like many of you I am just concerned about going through, especially being new to this. Any pointers or advice is appreciated. Thanks!
