$:-\$ Today was a wash , wind,rain and no fish . Was a unpleasant experience . This one I should have passed on . They all can't be good , I really enjoy the Dock tournaments .

General Discussion / tip down/ rod holder .

;DI just got a rod holder/tip down called the Dangler .mainly to use for my dead stick , to keep it out of the snow . I'm impressed with the compact and light weight design also the ease of setup and take down . This is a well thought out piece of equipment . Im going to try it out on Saturday at the dock tournament at Alum . You should check this out online at www.fishdangler.com .

I have been wondering about adding tip downs to my ice fishing arsenal . They are real sensitive and fun to watch . My concern is the line freezing in the hole . Any feedback would be appreciated..

Nimisila / Safe ice

Drove around the lake today and the only ice I could find was in my Pepsi cup. But Im still hopeful that it will happen soon.There was something on the ice in the cup ,I checked to see if it was Slab trying to extend the season.

Hey Dave , any tentative dates on this seasons dock tourneys at Alum .I remember that we cant start until November 1st . I am ready for another great year with a great group of people who love this addiction. I retired this year so Im going to really try to make every one.

Well as cool a summer as its been so far , I'm hoping for another long Ice season this year. I cant wait for the dock tournies to start at Alum . Im looking forward to fishing with a great bunch of people who enjoy this sport.

Very little snow cover and the ice is shaping up nicely . With these temperatures Tuesday is a go and this weekend will be great . Just remember ,safety first .

Does anyone know if Daves yellow ice suit is Glow , UV or electric ? If its electric , is it ni-cad or lithium ? And how many lumins ? How about it CRV , do you use it to light up the ice shanty instead of a lantern ? Just kidding Dave .
