Just wondering where has good ice and thickness? I've been out on Nimi and have seen people on at old state park. Any other places that have some decent ice? Thanks.

I went out just to get out of the house yesterday and went to nimi to see if anything was happening and noticed that the water level was down about 4 or 5 feet. I talked to the lady at the gas station and she said that they were dredging along the cove across the street. Never seen the lake down like that before. Anybody know what's going on there?

Just wondering if anybody out there has been keeping an eye on some of the lakes and ponds and if they would like to share any info? Going to go out tomorrow with my spud bar and take a ride to Nimi and see if I can get a thickness or an eye check to see if it is even trying to make ice after this warm weather. Will bring a rod with me in case it's wide open and try my luck. Will post tomorrow.

I've lived in WI and being raised in New England, I don't remember not ice fishing because of weather but WI is a whole different play ground, found out why everybody has extensions for their augers, most times they measure in feet not inches of ice. Just posting because it looks to be sketchy around here for ice. If anybody does go, post results please.

I got a call from a buddy and he said that a bunch of shanty's were on Nimi today, so I'm guessing that's good to go. I saw a guy on Lake cable yesterday, but that's private but it had good ice at least where he was. Anybody else have an ice report for some different places? Much appreciated and thanks in advance and be safe.

Have never fished this lake before and would like to hit it dureing the frozen period first. Can anybody give an update as to how the ice is holding up and at what depth the fish are being caught at. I read that they have a good crappie population in the lake as well as saugeye. I don't want your fishing hot spot, just the depth would be good to have. Thanks.

Fished C5 today from 1:30 pm to 7:00. I started drilling holes on the left side (road side) and the first thing that I noticed was that the water was stained real bad, kinda had the color of tobbacy juice. Kept drilling holes looking for some depth and was working our way south when after about the 6th hole, the water cleared up. Fished in the clear for a bit, then moved back into the cove a little bit and hit the stained water again. The reason that I ask this, is that the last time that I fished C5 was about a week and a half ago and the water did not have the stain to it. Am I wrong and it's always been this way and I'm just loseing my mind? Oh, we caught a few dink gills and about a dozen crappies, but none were keepers.

Was wondering if anyone has been out since the last report of water by the shore? And how's the fishing been. I'm just wondering how deep they been catching them at. Thanks.
