Want to take some kids and newbies out Friday an Saturday. How is the ice a CJ especially in marina? Any fish reports? Just want these guys an gals to catch and have fun. Any reports would be great. Thanks
HT Enterprises® Deluxe 2-man Polar Shelter Used. I took it in on trade and Idon't need it, it's easy to use and very light weight. Has no bag, one anchor hole is tore away from base. It's nothing fancy but has open floor an good bit of room. STOCK PHOTO ONLY.
I never hear much about Humminbird flashers 35,45,55? Any thought or reviews on them? Seems like the ice is dominated by Vex and Marcum. They look really look nice but would like to hear from someone who has/had on. Thank you
Can or does anyone fish from the mainland shore for Crappie, Perch or White Bass? Without walking very far? Are fish catchable close to shore? Never icefished Erie before but I want to try for some pan fish up there soon. Maybe close to Cataba State Park? Thanks
I have a 6" spoon Auger, not sure if sharp enough to work. Looks like a Mora. $15 I have a 8" Mora with newer Blades, cover, wing nut strap and a sharpener $50. I also have 6" Arctic Express with new blades, no cover $40. PM me if interested. I live in Urbana Ohio. Not willing to drive far but would meet up locally.Not shipping. Got board the other day and wanted a way to keep my spud secure and in place so I don't have to move it anytime I want something out of the sled. Also mounted an old wooden yard stick down th side for quick measuring. Probably already been done by someone so sorry if its a repeat.
Caught this Perch at Kiser Lake this morning. 11 9/16" Biggest Perch I've ever caught. Got him on spike on a tungsten tiger tear drop jig. 5 ft of water just of the bottom.
Well Kait never wanted to ice fish when she was little. Now she's 23 and caught her first fish thru the ice.😀 When ended up with 9 keepers and had a much needed day with my girl. Now she's hooked!
I was just given a 6" Arctic Express Auger. It needs new blades. The ones that were on it were Mora blades and are in bad shape. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable? I bought Lazer Blades because Auger is black without reading the tag and will have to return them. Any help? Thanks Suttalo
This is a recipe from my brother. He would always make this while we cleaned our catch. Nothing to it but really good if you like shrimp.
Blue gill (or any pan fish) fillets and cut into shrimp size pieces. Get a pot of water boiling with some salt in it. When water is at a boil drop in chunks. As soon as they hit bottom and turn white take them out, rinse an chill. Serve with cocktail sauce and enjoy. Taste a lot like shrimp cocktail
