Mosquito Creek Reservoir / 2/21 trip
« on: February 19, 2015, 07:50:34 PM »
We will be making our first trip to mosquito this Saturday. I assume based on past reports in this forum and the cold temperatures that ice conditions remain good? From what I have also gathered here, we are planning on trying out imagination station area, the 305 boat ramp, and the submerged road. These all seem to be in the same general area? Do these sounds like reasonable starts? Is the large pressure crack near the 305 ramp still there? Anyone been doing any good or have other suggestions? Obviously not looking for your exact spots, but rather some friendly guidance on where to drill some holes. Appreciate any feedback you are willing to provide.  We will be in a black Cabelas shelter if you want to come say hello. We are always looking to meet new folks and gain knowledge from the locals.

Pymatuning Lake / 1st trip
« on: February 09, 2015, 12:04:29 PM »
We are thinking of trying here the weekend of 2/20 assuming conditions hold. Do we need PA license to fish here or do we just need to make sure we are on the OH side? Also any general recommendations on locations and local bait shops would be appreciated.  We are also considering Mosquito. Any thoughts on which is better/preferred? Thanks!

Alum Creek / 1st ice trip to Alum
« on: January 30, 2015, 12:09:21 PM »
Hey all-
I have a group used to fishing at Loramie, St Marys and Indian coming to town. I am planning on giving it a go with them at Alum tomorrow, and was wondering where some spots to try would be. I saw a group sitting on the East side of the lake near Lewis Center Rd. and the Mtn Bike loop last weekend. I have also read here some folks trying by the inlet to the Cheshire Rd bay. Anyone doing good north of 36 or in the marina? We will have a mix of gear (tip ups, spinning, and old hand over hand pan fishing poles with flippers) and of course Vexilar. Plan on having a mix of crappie minnows, wax worms, jigs, vibes, etc. Any insight would be appreciated. Hoping for a few "Fish On" tomorrow. Thanks in advance!
