Went out of the campground Friday. Drag was a little tough but had worse. Fished 14 to 17 feet. Got a few small eyes and crappie. Nothing for the ride home. Was a nice day . Ice I would guess at 19 inches. Took the whole auger twist before breaking through. Water look extremely clean. Parking lot  was slick and ice for a vehicle. Should be better  with the warmer weather to soften the big chunks in the road.

Fished yesterday out of 305 ramp. Could not be  any better. Not  flat ice  but  solid. Where  foot prints or tracks  from  the slides are they are frozen in. 2 to 3 inches of white ice on top of 7 inches  clear ice. wear your creepers.

Ice Armor is the ticket. Have had mine for 3 seasons now, very warm and yep it floats. I seen Marks BT had a few in stock yesterday.

Are  you  sure that  the ice armor suit  floats?  I read  that  the  striker  does  but not the ice  armor. Artic  Armor  has  the video  and  I  have not  seen a video   about ice  armor floating.

A long length of  rope  that you  can use  for yourself  or  to help  someone else. Cleats  are good  better or best. Your  choice for them. Extra gloves

My friends  and I just  bought  the Artic Armor  Suit. It FLOATS. Just  like the survival  suit and had it on  today just  to see how many  layers I would need. Had  just a light  sweat shirt on and jeans for  about an hour in the wind  today  doing  somethings out side. Very comfortable. I know it  floats  cause I saw the video and also tried it at my daughters  swimming  pool. Came  up like a cork.  It is not bulky like  the orange suits  that Are  more money but  very  warm. Bought it incase I fell in. One  story  had  the guy  fell in and  had to walk back  to the car. It  generated  heat  so  he  was not  frozen while  walking back.   Jacket  and  bibs 319.

Vote for D. Enjoyed having  the ice  to spend more time than the past years. Enjoyed  the fishing but spending  time with friends on  the ice and then catching a bite  to eat after and being  with old friends.

It's nice to catch fish but  better to be  with friends  on  the ice.

Now  we'll start  walking  the rivers until it is perchin' time!!!

Fished south end out of campground yesterday. Open water where geese  were is almost all the way accross. Could not get to where we wanted to fish because of open water. Seems like less ice than a week ago,,,,7 to 8 inches. some places only 6.
Got one perch and put her back. We only saw one other up north from us.
There also where opened pools about 15 feet in diameter. I counted three of these. Would not attempted to walk off after sunset.
I'm done!!!
Guess it is steelie time! ;D

This is going to be interesting.  Was  there a HP limit mentioned?

I remember when they were kicking their feet and screaming  about electric motors should stay banned ;D

It is in the ohio campgrounds. Not  the cabins. There is a trailer parking lot full of RV's and a big sign for the ODNR Site Park is closed just  drive in to the lake and take a camping spot.
Watch the bay!!!! The creek is running and ice does not look good stay  to the north
