Garage sale by appointment. Great buy on tungsten jigs of excellent quality Sizes mostly 4-mm and 5 mm tons of colors to pick from. 50 dollars purchase of the tungsten jigs gets a free jig box . This offer is only good to the first six buyers as that is all the boxes i have.

Three fish finders all set up for ice fishing. One is a Humminbird Helix 7 mounted on a marcum lithium transport. Another is a Garmin Echomap plus 7CV with lithium battery.

One shelter Eskimo 450I this is the one with a no trip door. Very lightly used complete with pegs and straps. 350.00 is the price.

Just a little of what I have for sale. All deals will have to be face to face here at my house. Located close to Berlin Lake in northeast Ohio.
To keep my items at good prices for the buyer. I will not ship or drive to meet. Plus my present health is kinda limiting me right now.

So if you are within reasonable driving distance. It would be a good investment in your ice fishing career. I have over 60 years of experience in local ice fishing. If you are interested PM me here and I will give you address and phone number.

Will try and post a few pix later.

General Discussion / Best Demo and Explanation of Garmin's Panoptix

Without a doubt best video I have seen on this. Guy explains why the panoptix is a great fish scouting tool.

keep in mind works just as well from boat also. So not just an ice fishing tool.

This transducer will work with almost any of the Garmin's Echomaps, GPSmaps and Striker.

Will work with either 4 pin or 8 pin as an adapter comes with it. If you need it for 12 pin model . Have extra adapter for that but it is not included .

It will work with the non-chirp Echomaps as a standard frequency transducer. It just won't be able to use Chirp function.

I have upgraded to the PS 22 Panoptix and no longer have need of this. PM me for phone number if interested.

Comes with float for ducer if you want or need .

General Discussion / Re: Hockey Puck bait holders

Waxworms good air flow is desired. Maggots you do not want any airflow. That's why maggots are shipped in sealed plastic bags.

I order my grubs maggots and waxworms on line. I dump my waxworms in a gallon container ( 2-250 count tubs) with fresh pine chips added and leave lid off of container.Store in cool room. My fruit cellar works great.

Maggots I add some fresh pine chips and leave in original shipping container.
Keep at 33-35 degrees in fridge.

Remove dead critters if any every few days.

General Discussion / Re: slow bite
« on: January 02, 2018, 01:34:02 PM »
Sometimes it pays to upsize. Remember one year at Mosquito on slab crappies. Had to to stop at bait shop to re-supply my minnow population. Was hugely disappointed that all they had were medium size or bigger. I was on an ice fishing vacation and all I was using was small minnows. Since it was a really early morning bite. I didn't have time to go to another shop.

Actually did better that day than all the others. Can recite other stories on lure selection of upsizing but sure you all get the general idea. Sometimes the smaller route is not the way to go.

Ok I give up. I am such a sissy when it comes to torture.

Usually use underneath or above my main jig. I tip with one maggot or half a waxie. Does a good job of convincing " lookers" into "takers ".
