Thank you all for the "Welcome"! I never have much luck on larger lakes so most of my reports will be from ponds. The one I usually fish,  I haven't found the right holes yet. Fish just not in the same spots as years past. I'll find em this weekend.  ;D

General Discussion / Rush Creek Lake, Fairfield Co. any info?
« on: February 08, 2011, 03:59:01 PM »
My cuz and I went to Rush Creek Lake Sunday afternoon. There was 4 fishermen, 3 fishing an old fence row and 1 beside parking lot across the road from the caretakers house. We talked to that fisherman a few minutes, was his first time icefishing there. He was fishing for crappie, had 4 fish,1 being a cat. His first cat ever thru the ice, he was surprised. We drilled 20 + holes across the lake from the ramp in a small cove 8-10 fow. Only had 3 nibbles catching 1 - 5" crappie. I would really like to fish it some more but don't know the lake that well. Any information on Rush Creek would be gratefully appreciated!

Mine is an Eskimo TC II Gas, it works really well. Only complaint I have had with it was I lost 2 blades befor I switched to nylon lock nuts. That was 16 or so years ago. No problems since. :)

General Discussion / Farm Pond Catch & my first post
« on: February 04, 2011, 10:08:42 PM »
This is my first post so I thought I woud make it a good 1. I've fished a farm pond 3 times so far this year and today I finally had a good day. Drilled some holes and put my home made tip-ups in at 3 PM. Fish was a little slow but started getting some bites, kept 3 bass, 1 crappie, 1 gill, & 1 cat. Threw back 1 small bass and 1 rock bass,  lost 2 nice bass at the top of the holes. The biggest 1 got away! LOL :)
