Small jigging rap tipped with small strip of blue gill flesh. All the ones I caught were suspended, not one fish came in on the bottom. When a mark would investigate, ever so slightly jiggle giving it subtle action with out doing up or down at all. Most would pop it pretty good, they ripped the rod out of my hand 3 different time on the hook set.

Never targeted cats through the ice but after realizing the pan fish at this gravel pit were not big enough to get excited about, I did some experimenting and found a hot catfish pattern. Them suckers pull good!!!!

We all can imagine the feeling of losing our favorite box of ice jigs, Im glad we were able to find the rightful owner and that he survived the ordeal. Hopefully he will be more careful in the future.

I had 8 inches plus on long pond and the reserve yesterday but the fishing was terrible. I cant believe how long its taking for the water to clear up, still pretty dingy.

I went out from the bridge on long island on Saturday. I was 3 crappie shy of the 30 fish limit when the wind chased me off at 4pm. On the walk back in I came across a small area protected from the wind and drilled 4 prospect holes in 5 to 6 inches of ice. Picked up my vex and rod to try the first hole and "bloop" my right leg went right through a hole past my knee. Needless to say I high tailed it back to the truck.

I was on Kiser today and came across a bucket half frozen in the ice. In the bucket was a stocked tackle box and a few other small items. The area looked like someone had went through a while ago and left their stuff. If this is yours or you know who it belongs to pm me with a decsription of the box and some of the contents along with a phone number and I will make sure you get it back. As for the fishing it was slow, 2 big crappie, 1 perch, and about 20 gills of which 5 were keepers.

As of tuesday, channel on west side of andersons had almost 6 inches, channel on east side had 4 in the back and 1.5 outfront. Went to coldwater in the evening and pushed our luck gettin on 2.5 inches and never had a touch, but saw 1 get lost by another fisherman. Good luck and be very careful as we found good ice turn thin in very short distances.

Just found my mini sd converter but these fish were caught at Indian on friday the 13th. The guy taking the pic was fishing with us so we were still within our crappie limit.

Dont know why the eyes aint picking up but the crappie sure are at northfork.
