I was was out Monday. Ice was good (6-8")except for the ramp. I still wouldn't use the ramp yet. Quite a few people out. Just caught a few dinks and lost something big before I got a look at it.

I've been taking my little Honda recon out and it was rough right after the snow but if you follow other tracks it goes fine.  It sometimes helps to have someone on the back for the weight.

I realize that promoting the sport is important, but the Lorain County metroparks does not allow ice fishing.  I'd be happy to do the demonstration if I wouldn't get a ticket for fishing the same hole tomorrow.
It's too bad, they own plenty of land and some great ponds.
