ice fished here a few times last year and only caught a few dink bluegill,  not one crappie, used every technique known.  heard people talking about it but never saw another person or any sign of them and with all the snow last year any tracks would have been hard to miss.   hardly marked any fish while ice fishing.    don't waste your time.

I checked it today at the boat ramp,  had 3 solid inches of ice,  was still open water at the 20 ft. hole straight out from the boat ramp,  geese sitting on it so im assuming they are the reason for that,  couldn't see any other open water on the lake but would be cautious if you go out,  snow covered so its getting insulated too.  be careful if you try it,  will probably try it Friday and i'll update on the ice.  good luck guys and be safe!!!

Have fished there 2 times this winter and caught nothing but small gills..  Personally wouldn't waste my time there again, but if you go, hope you find something better than I did.  Tried minnows wax worm and jigs, marked more giant schools of Shad than anything.

Was at nettle yesterday had a great day on crappie and gills,  water a little murky but didn't seem to matter,  25 fow...my usual.  Minnows on dead stick and wax worms jigging .  Biggest average fish and six better fish than any others I've caught there this year.  16 to 18 inches ice.

bite is heavy on minnows,  1/32 oz. head pin the minnow through the lip and let them swim.   was there Friday and Saturday as well,   was the guy north of you all day from dark to almost dark that night,  fish in 20 plus foot of water heavy,  move off the deep holes and you lose the schools.  suspend one under a bobber 15 to 19 foot to catch the suspended stragglers.  good luck.
