If you need a good guide I would recommend you to PM OhioFisher 19 as he has a lot of experience on the lake and will keep you safe. Please PM him about gude service and not lake reports. He will keep us updated under the Lake Erie board when he can provide info.

I have also switched to Gamma braided line for my Saugeye rods and it has help my hook up ratio especially in deeper water. Thanks for the tips on keeping the ice build up if your bucket fishing.

Hit Alum today with CRV and my son Zach. It felt good again to put a wooping on CRV and now my son did it in CRV's shanty.
We caught 12 Cats, 3 crappie, 1 perch and Zach caught two Saugeye. One was a keeper.
We were fishing in 34 foot of water. Ice was 4 to 5 inches but under snow cover the ice was thinner. You must check your own ice on Alum as it varies from spot to spot.

The lake reports boards are usually the best place to find Ice reports.

I agree. I had a lot of lookers at Indian yesterday and only a few takers. The bite did pick up right before dark.

Fished Long Island on Sunday at North Fork with Josh and Andy. We landed 4 keeper Saugeye and 3 short fish. Ice was about 5 inches. Please check your own Ice.
I caught mine on a Orange Sweedish Pimple and a gold Vibe. Josh caught a nice 22 inch.

Fished Pappa Boos on Saturday and it was slow. Only caught a few shorts. Ice was about 5 inches. Please be safe and check your own ice.

There looks like there might be safe ice at indian but with the warming temps I think it will be safer to fish the docks. We will start at 2 pm to 7pm

Hi Guys,
It looks like there might be safe ice at Indian to fish off of Long Island. I am also getting a report on Indian and Buckeye lake tomorrow.
If there is safe ice we will not have a dock tournament this weekend.
I will post at 3 pm tomorrow with the final decision.

It was great to see everyone on Saturday. We had 18 anglers compete.
Congratulations to John Kern who managed 3 crappies on a very tough day to take the Crappie pot. Larry Davis landed 3 Saugeye on the day and won the big fish and Saugeye pot. Great Job Guy's!
We hope to see you this Saturday.
