Indian Lake / Re: Indian Sunday the 15th
« on: January 16, 2012, 11:02:54 AM »
After reading a post on another website I thought I’d warn someone before making the trip. They are saying that they have been ice fishing Indian today. They said that Long island has 3.5” of clear ice Its without question unsafe because long Island area was boatable Friday afternoon. Just Sayin’
PLEASE BE SAFE and CHECK YOUR OWN ICE!

I agree! I have scene a couple of post indicating safe ice. I highly doubt it! It is dangerous to put out this kind of info out. I have a feeling there are going to be some sad stories this year! I wonder if there could culpability for this?

:'( Not looking good for ice fishing. All the lakes in my area still have waves!
guess ill just take the boat out!

Actually, it is an La Nina pattern... and it does suck  >:( This is where the cold ocean water from the bottom is pushed to the top. This is the reason we had some many tornados & severe storms this year. Seems like it was windy every day this year. Sure makes it tough for fishing...!  >:(

Just looked at the 10 day forecast. Starting from today(Sat.): 25,34,42,53,26,35,43,45,50, and 44 >:( Checked some ponds and the wind's  kept them from skimming over :o This really stinks!! :(

Yes it is no looking good at all...! The wind really kept things from firming up. CJ is ice free and lake Erie from the Toledo cam does not even look close yet. I am not sure it's going to happen this year  >:( Be very careful... I hear some guys are going out Monday. A fish is not worth your life...!

Wow, that's to bad. Any ideas why the water was like that.

I know we were up there last weekend for our championship and there was a ton of wind and the lake was muddy.

Maybe the lake is turning over?

I am sure it will pick up soon.

Same situation as Grand Lake St. Marys. I can't believe how bad it is..! You can also see it plane as day from a satellite phote. It is as thick and nasty as the year ST. Marys was deemed off limits. If something is not done soon in regards to farm run off it will soon be the dead sea and that just kills me! A lot of post and pictures on OGF.

I can't make it Sunday but would love to come.

Triton189 , My son and I are going also in the morning to Cj . There's a guy fishing about  400 yards out from from the main boat ramp . Were going to be scouting around , we will be in a bronze jeep Cherokee SUV . If you see us stop us and we can see if we can find them eyes together . Rogue

Sounds Good! I have a Chevy Avalanche (Black). I will be in a Eskimo Escape two man flip.

I should state a (Red) Eskimo Flip

I am thinking of hitting CJ in the morning. Any reports? Is the main lake ok to fish? I would like to fish the trees the friends of CJ put in.
