C.J. Brown / Re: 4 Members at CJ for Crappie
« on: December 23, 2010, 06:20:02 PM »
ratherbefishing, it was great to meet up with this morning! I had a great time and the crappie fishing started out fast and furious. Thanks for letting me take the fish home as my kids love crappie.

I cleaned them and checked their bellies to see what they were eating. Some of the 10-10.5 inchers had "large" shad in their. The limit fish had some tipe of small worm.

Thanks Again!

Salmonid, if the need the maps of the Christmas trees and the GPS coordinates I can give you a copy. However, the ice was not thick enough to get out were these were droped.

I agree it would be great if we had someone that knows a little about the area. I have heard some amazing stories about the pan fishing up there.

While we sit here and ponder our childrens futures, China is growing as triton said it well. I think its time for all of us liitle guys to voice our opinions and change things.

Did it all start going downhill with NAfTA and making more money for our U.S. corporations to go over sea's?

I say repeal NAFTA and produce things here or tarrif all incoming goods.

We can and should produce everything a U.S. consumer needs!

As citizens will have to do with less or pay a higher price for goods but i think the latter will do us the best.

Just my opinion!

I agree Dave...! The cat has already been let out the bag so we have to implement tarrifs to force US corporations to bring the operations back. This will be tough in the short run as prices will escalate. However, we need to save more and this could spur the savings era by not purchasing this Chineese made junk...! Do what you can to look for American Made products... It is time for us little guys to take a stand....!

I agree- I can't believe the relative silence from the media on this...! Maybe that is why we should all be concerned. Korea is basically a puppet for China. I have said for years China is going to flex it's muscle in coming years to let us know they are the new super power of the world. There is not much we can do because they are financing our dept.

If you listen closely to the news you can hear subtle changes..Statements like the market is up today because the Chineese forecast continued growth, etc. The world used to move on US economic news now it is China. The country with the strongest economy wins because you can support your military.

General Discussion / What's up with Indian..?

Fished Indian this morning from first light to around 12:30. NO EYES...? So moved shallow for some gills. We caught some but they were "extremely" small. I have ice fished IL for over a decade and can't believe how slow it is for first Ice. A lot of guys I fish with are saying the population of Eyes in the lake is way down...!

It was a demo unit and I paid $350.00. Mine is the Escape 200 which is a bigger stronger shanty then the Eskimo Quick Flip II. They retail for over $500.00 I believe he had one more left at that price. Mark's in Akron. He advertises on OGF.

I picked up my shanty today. It is a Red Eskimo Escape 200 (Flip). I also picked up a Red Eskimo quick flip II for neighbor. He is going out with me and is taking his son. Are the eyes doing anything? I have heard it is very slow...! Maybe if we can't get some guys together we can find them.

Against my better halfs wishes, I am putting  my shanty up for sale. I bought it brand new in 2008 for $179. Will take best offer over $100. It's a two man clam corp 2000 in great shape. I am looking to upgrade to a 3 man.

Is this Shanty still for sale? Is so, would you take $135.00?
