catch a 3lb bass through the ice and keep it, catch a 3lb saugeye through the ice and return it back down the hole, make sure everyone around you sees this , watch what reaction you'll get. I can hear the tourney fisherman now.
LOL

I don't think that this is the end of the season by far. last year @ this time i was still in a boat. but I would definitely like to get together and fish killdeer. I work a crazy 4 on 4 off schedule. so im able to fish thru the week sometimes.

this coming Thurs? If so the forecast doesn't look good, it may change but they are saying upper 40's and rain. if it doesn't desrtoy the ice maybe we could hit it after the first of the year
It should be safe now but, with all of the warm weather coming I really don't want to chance it. I really hope it doesn't destroy the ice!

I was thinking of the thermal because they say they don’t have the moisture issues that the normal tents have as well as the durability. I think I’m going with the Nanook because for the most part I’m alone and don’t think the space is worth the extra $

OK, so I'm not made of money. I'm looking @ the Nanook or Yukon and I can see that the Yukon has more head room. is there anything else I'm missing? Also does anyone have the thermal version of anything clam? is it worth the extra $$$. I would also be interested in the Eskimo quick flip 2 if i could see one up close, I'm worried about the seats i don't want a bench because my partner is 5 1/2 and she enjoyed the swivel seats in the floor models @ Cabelas.

Is it safe from Catawba to the islands by snowmobile or Quad?
:oNot even.It is a rare year when you can do it safely.I might be showing my age but we used to drive cars back and forth many, many years ago.
It was 96 or 97 and we took snowmobiles out and then followed our guide from PIB thru what must have been a mile of slush or worse to the the north side of Kelley's. I was in high school or fresh out but the look on my fathers face was priceless

Dec 21. I got off the lake @ 9pm. I fished 700' north off of the point of lake ridge island in the pseudo river channel and picked up 4 small saugeye and my buddy caught a small Pike (first pike I've seen with my own eyes out of I.L.) perch are in there but all very small the bottom is there isn't all muck might be sand? this area is one of the better areas. also you might try in front of Old field beach here is the coordinates 40.29.19.02N 83.52.01.91W 12 f.o.w.
