I don't know about anyone else, but I'm tearing down all of the Christmas stuff now so that when the first safe ice hits, I can bolt to the nearest lake.
Well boys.....it was fun while it lasted. Looks like a lull in the action until the next freeze. Hey, I know! We can all get caught up on the domesticated duties, act like we really like it, make all kinds of points, and cash them in big time once this warm spell is over!
Fished CLR yesterday from 2:30 till dark. Lost count of all the dinks but ended up taking home 6. Hope the up-coming warm spell doesn't ruin it for us.

Fished it hard with minnows and waxies. Fished just north of the northern most island. Had 4 tipups set with crappie minnows and 2 rods going inside my shanty. Caught 3 fish. One dink bluegill, one 9 inch crappie(tipup) and about a 5 lb channel cat caught on my ice rod with a minnow. A good bluegill is hard to find...........
