Manufactured with precision control with diameter consistencies of 2 microns, Blood Run Cadence™ Fluorocarbon Ice leader takes the ice fishing leader game to the next level.

Increasingly clear bodies of water on many inland lakes have taken a toll on catching leader shy fish. The right balance in knot strength, low brittle factor and hook-setting strength are what makes the perfect ice leader.

High sensitivity and controlled-sinking speed balanced with Blood Run's Cadence Ice Mono Main Line are the perfect match for dropping jigs into heavy cover fast or slowly lowering with zero line twist off ice fly reels.

Available in 1/2lb, 1lb, 2lb, 4lb and 6lb test 25 yard spools.

Are you looking for the latest and greatest in ice line??? Well you don't have to look any further then michigans own Blood Run Tackle Co there new Cadence™ Fluro and Cadence™ Mono are designed for the diehard ice head!

Check out their line today at the link below:

BLOOD RUN ICE FISHING LINE

Cadence™ Ice Fishing Mono Main Line from Blood Run Tackle is the next step in ice fishing line technology.

Drawing from mountains of feedback and wishlists from our ice fishing pro's, we have put together the complete package of lines to keep the action hot on the ice.

Our Cadence™ Solid Gold is the perfect opaque (solid) color to allow for high visibility inside dark ice shelters or for tightline techniqued fisherman. The problem with standard (translucent) mono lines in dark shelters or when you are detecting sensitive bites is that they are difficult to see.

Cadence™ Solid Gold allows for even the most subtle bite detection without the need for ultra sensitive rods or spring bobber tips.   Simply drop your line, and if it coils down to the surface, you are hooked up!   If your line drops straight down, nobody is home!   Most anglers miss 90% of bites because of undectection, even with spring bobbers.

The fluorocarbon coating on this buoyant-neutral mono main line allows for great abrasion resistance protection cutting across transducer cables and sharp objects inside the shelter and during transport.

The natural buoyant neutral mono core allows for the perfect drop off ice fly reels, completely controllable by the fisherman. Tipped with a small section of our Cadence™ Ice Fluorocarbon Leader, line drop speeds are under perfect control for taking suspended fish on the fall.

Our Cadence™ Arctic Blue is a hi-vis blue anti-freezing mono line, perfect for fishing outside the shelter in sunny conditions. The anti-memory non-freezing aspect of this line is perfect outside of the heated ice shelter where other lines tend to become more brittle.

Cadence™ Solar Yellow is a hi-vis yellow mono line perfect for outside in dark conditions.   The "light-piping" effect of this translucent solar yellow allows for high visibility in cloudy and overcast conditions.

The neutral buoyant capabilities of Cadence™ Arctic Blue and Solar Yellow again allow for complete drop control with no line twist. Perfect for ice fly reels.

Cadence™ Solid Gold available in 3lb test 100 yard spools.

Cadence™ Arctic Blue available in 2lb test 100 yard spools.

Cadence™ Solar Yellow available in 2lb and 4lb test 100 yard spools.

It depends on how thick your weeds are. If your fishing in 10 FOW or less with and FL-8 I would pick up the S-Cable and it to the unit. It is really easy to do.

General Discussion / Re: Clam ice auger conversion kit
« on: October 26, 2013, 09:18:44 AM »
I'm not really looking to buy either.  My mora hand auger works just fine.  My brother on the other hand has been looking for a way to attach his drill to his hand auger for a couple of years.  I've been telling him that the other conversion kits were drill killers and not to waist his money.  From the demo videos, it sounded like maybe clam figured out how to not kill your drill.

They didn't solve any problem really the 18 volt drills still don't have a clutch and gear box strong enough to last more then a season or two. Basically when guys come into the shop looking to do this , this is the rule of thumb I give them.

4inch to 5 inch Lazer 18 to 24 Volt
6 Inch Lazer 24 Volt
7 inch and 8 inch Lazer auger 36 Volt

On Mora or other straight blade augers
4 inch 18 Volt
5 inch to 6 inch 24 volt
7 thur 8 36 Volt

I am getting a Lazer™ Synthetic this year in 6 inch to run on my 24 volt Cordless. The reason I like the Lazer™ Synthetic for a cordless is the reduced weight saves the clutch. It also cuts faster due to the small difference in the cutting head compared to the regular Lazer. It is pretty close to a Nils in how it cuts.

The one nice thing the Clam kit does is give you nice hand holds like you would have with a power auger which will make it easier to drill holes straight. Some guys have trouble doing that when they are just using the cordless.

My personal opinion buy the ION. To get the performance you want and to match the ION you have to buy a 36 VOLT cordless drill that has a clutch tough enough to handle the job. You will spend nearly $400 to get that. After buying the auger and mounting plate from Clam you are over $500 to get the same performance as the ION.

We started catching them from shore here on St. Clair a few weeks ago and with this cold front it just now getting good. The shore fishing isn't has good as Erie but we also get a nice mix of Smallies , Pike and Muskie on top of the eyes when we go out.
