I would like to toss out the ideas of member get togethers at various lakes. I will attend as many as possible, but feel free to post where you will be so interested members in your area could meet up. Also I will once again be planning the spring walleye jig trips again, details will follow when we move closer to that time. For now let's hope that the Temps drop and we can drill some holes!! Any recommendations you have or if you want to help host an event feel free to contact us and we will help anyway we can!

I would like to send a special thanks out to Carl(evinrude), Carl has remained a faithful member to this site even though its darkest days. I am guilty of losing faith, even though this site holds a very special place in my life. So cheers to you Carl for being that "foot in my ass" to keep all this at the front of my mind. From all of us here at IFO much thanks!🍻

I would like to take a moment to share a couple ideas of upcoming future plans. Returning to the IFO platform will be many of the old time favorites to include Demo Days, NE Ohio Panfish Series, local seminars. And a site that will be fully supported and staffed. We are actively working to renew or obtain new sponsorship to fuel our rebuild. I welcome the return of our annual ice safety refreshers and much more. Share with us all any ideas or recommendations you may have to make this site as inclusive and enjoyable as possible !

To all members and friends of IFO, It is with great enthusiasm that we announce a Changing of the Guard here at Ice Fish Ohio Myself Nate(ntoiceman36), Joel(slabslayer) and Ryan(Ratherbefishing) welcome the challenge to reinvent the site we have all enjoyed for so long now. This year will be especially challenging with the pandemic and uncontrollable restrictions. But we want you all to know the ideas are flowing and further announcements will follow. We ask for patience while we continue to rebuild. Thank you to those who have stood with us and to those who will join us moving forward!! Regards, IFO

Can you see it, over there, just beyond my reach a distant light flickers! With each step I take it becomes clearer, tiny Ray's begin to peirce the darkness spreading like vast tentacles grasping toward me . There is a light that burns, it grows ever brighter as I slowly crawl from this dream. Each passing moment brings me closer to the source that radiates deep into my thoughts. Pulsing beams flash causing my eyes to look away. Onward I travel continuing, focused, deprived of all reason! And just then I Crest and before me with little focus I realize, it's not a light that flickers, it's more than that. Like a thousand fiery suns my head rises, balanced, from this dream I awaken to find much is left undone. Arise fellow ice men, awaken from this dream, join together, from these ashes we will again be the light! Our season is upon us! With sword in hand break free of the darkness . Join me fellow ice men, join me as we shine. Together we go forward, an army of light , leaving behind the emptiness of what was and embracing what lies ahead.

To all my fellow ice fish ohio loyalists i must admit that in my absence with much reflection I return to the site I love only to find out that a lot has changed. A shadow remains of what we once were! I ask myself how can we restore the magic that this site once held. How do we power forward as ice season approaches rapidly? Let's fire up the suggestion machine, let's recapture all that was and once again will be. My mind is fresh and rested and I patiently wait for the ideas to start pouring in. I know your out there, I've missed my friends and the times spent sharing memories. I believe in the vision this site upholds so join me as we once again as friends and lovers of the sport of ice fishing break from this dark shell and rise again.

I would like to thank everyone for the support over the years. I have made so many great friends and memories over the past 8 years. But all good things come to an end eventually, so it is with the heaviest of hearts that I am leaving ice fish ohio and any related activities. I ask for complete understanding from all on this matter and my privacy as a reflect and prepare for another adventure! Thanks my friends! Best wishes!
