fished out of c-5 shoreline tight, ice about 15 in.started out in the bay got 3 keeper gills,2 other buds showed up,not much happening,so after about a hour Ed and me walked towards the main lake and set up at the mouth of the bay, about 8-9 ft. deep,Ed got a 12 and 3/4 in. crap on first drop,Rick was out there he had a 3lb. cat and was catching some dink perch,we fished about another hour with nothing to show so we walked back into the bay and i took the same 2 holes i drilled earlier, lost 3 craps in a row at the hole, then managed to get 4 on the ice;Ed got 6,Gene had 9 gills,no red ears today,a few warmouths I was only one using minnows, they were using mags and small jigs,if windy tomorrow might not fish till thur.maybe try nesmith or north, fish when you can boys the end is coming, and good luck if you do. P.S.fished 1.00 pm.to 7 pm.

Got on the ice about 1130 a.m. was fishing in 7ft.water was stained, visibility about 18-20 inches.I was getting a few gills some dinks some keepers,a few nice red ears 1 keeper crappie, then around 3 p.m. two old friends of mine showed up that i havent seen for years so we had a nice reunion, they brought lanterns with them,i did not plan to fish after dark, but i decided to stay and fish with them,we started to pick up some craps around 7 p. m. fairly steady enough to keep it interesting,I got 7 but when i left my one buddy had 16 and the other one only had one,he was using thick coiled green line, however my other bud showed me a new technique,or new to me any how,he would let the jig into the water till the line went tight, then reach up the rod to the first eye and take the line in his thumb a index finger and pull it towards him, then jig, when he felt a bump he would let go of the line, then set the hook when he felt the bump again, thus giving the fish more time to the put bait in its mouth.

no john,i dont know where its at,i know its somewhere close to where i was,and its supposed to be a good perch area,i did see a guy walk out and go west,he hugged the shoreline and turned left, and went out of my sight,he had 2 dogs with him,i like to fish for perch and would like to know where roadbed is,i caught some perch this year in the deep water near the old submerged bridge, but not many and no real size.
