Just wondering if anyone has ever used a deer, turkey blind as a ice shanty? They look like they would work, easy to pop up,light weight, has windows, probably have to anchor it down, throw it on the sled instead of plowing through the snow with a shanty,I have 2 ice shelters, but am seriously considering this, will wait for some input befor i decide ,thanks holehopper  ???

Fished by the dam saturday at sunnybrook rd. got 3 really nice perch and a small bass, went back today fished 4 hrs. zip, nada, zero. So while i was staring at the ice hole i look up and see all these birds on the ice about 200 yds. from me,at first glance i thought they were geese, but to my surprise they were wild turkeys,i counted 24,they came from sunnybrook rd. side and crossed the lake to the far shore and went into the woods,in all my years (65) thats a first for me. :o also ice is 10 in. was fishing 16 ft. depth, today iwas only one there,4 others there sat. :)

yeah i built some years ago out of wood and cut V notches in the top to hold the rods, but kind of cumbersome to haul around. I just bought one from fish usa that hooks on the bucket, now when im rebaiting or unhookig a fish i dont have to lay the rod on the ice.

I just got 6 new tip ups, brimble style (old school) I was rigging them, line, swivels, fluro leaders, etc.when I remembered you must put your name address on them.Im  thinking how can I do this? cant write on them there black,so I type my name etc. on computer and print it out, and begin cutting them out to tape on, My wife walks up and says"why dont you just use your stick on address labels you use when you mail a letter"Thanks Honey, worked perfect. Now all i need is the strength to drill 6 holes plus 2 more for my rods hahaha. :D
