Was out at Buckeye yesterday. Had some nice marks come up and look but no takers. Caught about 20 dink eyes and left at 4. Hour drive back home and ribs were cooked

Picked up Otter XT Cabin at Franks shanty days sale. Treacherous drive Saturday morning, but well worth it. Hope to see you Saturday Grant.

Plan on being there this week. Had to pick up new shanty in Michigan on Saturday. A lot of cars off the road early.

first welcome , this site is sweet, it always fizzles out during open water somewhat but its winding up now. stand by its going to get busy... and we all find our way back here when it ices up..
I couldn't agree more. Season is a few months, but during those months, there is a bit of activity on this site. Last year was a down year on the local ice, but I don't think that there are bigger enthusiasts than the people that are on this site when the ice is on. Maybe you could make it to a dock tournament at Alum Creek before the ice forms.

Hey Grant, I just ordered the eagle claw case from General Marine on their cyber Monday sale. It was $39.99, no taxes, and free shipping on any order over $50. Of course I had to hit the mark for free shipping . Cabelas has them for $59.99 and $49.99 at field and Stream. Got it in two days.

I would suggest 12pm-7pm. Tournament is currently scheduled during worst hours to fish on the docks. Would see more fish at the weigh in. Maybe even 3-8pm.

Yeah, those are some beauties. Unfortunately, this may be the last good run for a while on buckeye. A lot of those big boys are being harvested as a result of no fishermen on the lake over the last two years. During that same period, the lake wasn't stocked. The next couple years shouldn't bode well for the saugeye, as they don't reproduce naturally on the lake. Hopefully, other species will thrive.

I ordered an Otter XT Cabin from Frank's for Shanty Days- Dec. 8-10. On sale for $570, but have to drive up there and pick it up during those days. Also includes free cover and light bar. Also ordered accessories towing hitch and runner kit for 10% off. I hope weather cooperates for the drive. Some great deals for that weekend. I'm sure many of IFO sponsors will be there.
