It looks like we are finally going to have great ice this year for the tournament on Mosquito Lake. The past 2 years we have had to cancel the event due to unsafe ice.
I really look forward to running the tournament and seeing everyone from Northeast Ohio.
I wanted to point out a few things for anyone who is fishing there first tournament.
This is a very fun event with a very friendly group of anglers and everyone should feel comfortable participating,
We check in and take off out of the Causeway Sporting Goods bait shop. All teams must fish north of the Causeway.
The Causeway Sporting Goods has all the bait and tackle that you will need for the event.
You can download a entry form and rules under the tournament board and mail in your entry to me. I will need them by next Friday. You must be logged into the site to view the entry form.
You can also enter at the tackle store before the event by Saturday and not receive the $10 late fee. If you enter the morning off the tournament there is a $10 late fee. The entry fee is $75 per team.
This year we are weighing the teams best 15 pan-fish. You may have any combination off Crappie, Bluegill, and perch to make your bag. You can keep your daily bag limit and will weigh-in your best 15 pan-fish.
Each team member may have 2 rods in the water at the same time. We do not allow Tip-ups or Jawjacker setups at the tournament.
Everyone's shanty and bucket will be checked before we take off. Anyone caught cheating will be turned into the authorities.
If you have any questions please call me at 614-361-5548
See you at the tournament.
