I'm officially putting the ice gear away.  And reaching for the groundhog rifle!  Temps are on an upswing and I just spotted this years first target stretching his legs!  It's been a rollercoaster for Winter and now I just hope we don't get nasty Spring rain for 4 months.  Good luck to everybody! I am out!
Throwing ice cubes in the lake all summer long!

Me too.  Unfortunately I agree.  Already Feb 20 and still no ice.  Forecast isn't going to give us any ice for the next 7 days either.  Faith is completely lost for an ice season.  I'm ready to focus on bass and hope for an early spawn and a good fishing season for soft water.  Ice will be back next year, and I'll bet we have an incredible ice fishing season this coming winter!

I have pretty much givin up hope for ice. Im not upset about about it though. I have found peace in other fishing related things. Im always pouring sinkers but I have started tying flys again after a several year hiatus. Ive also been making a lot of ice jigs and pinmins and some kastmaster style spoons. I am also in the process of opening a custom rod and repair shop. I will release those details later ;D. I am excited for next ice season. there is always something to keep you motivated. As Joe Dirt would say " Keep on keepin on"
