Went up to Walborn and Deer Creek to check ice thickness and conditions today.  Saw the ice was thin and rotted around the shorelines and there was an open hole under the bridge on Walborn!  ;D  Of course had my boat on the truck and had to give it a try.  Gave that old 1964 hull, my set of oars, and my arms and shoulders a good workout!  Never knew an old flat bottom could be an ice breaker!!  Did manage a few nice crappie again and some dinks too.  Gave the Vexilar a pre-ice break in, too!  Worked great as always!  Here are a few pics from the day!

Now, come on, ICE!!!

dude ive done that, last year I put my little boat in wingfoot it had a skim on it . but I had a 30lb trollmotor.. I have to admit it was fun tearing thru the ice, but it  sometimes I had to rock the boat to keep it moving.
the time you spend fishing cannot be deducted from your life...
