Looks like starting Monday high temps will be below freezing for 3 straight days with lows in upper teens/lower 20's.  That's as far as the forecast went, but if that holds thru next week, we could be on ice by next weekend.  Some of the smaller ponds for sure, they'll freeze in a few days, maybe middle of following week for Mogadore's and some other lakes backwater panfish bays! ;D ;D  Can't wait.  Shanty's been ready since December 1st!!  NEED ICE!!

Go to accuweather.com and look at the extended forecast for your area.

Up here in the north end of the state we have plenty of days around forty :(

True, but after Sunday, there are 4 days in a row under 32.  After that 2 days of 40, but lows still below freezing at night.  Then it's back down to 33-36 for high and 18-25 at night.  Should start to build some fishable ice. ;D

Jonny,
I was watching the weather up here as I was typing this. I am in Northern Ohio as well. It does not look good up here. Lowest overnight temp Tanchek from Cleveland was predicting was 19, however the rest of the highs were in the 40's and lows in the mid to upper 30's. One thing I have learned is to not watch the weather to much. I lost many days on the lake by planning to far ahead. Then do something else and see the lake is awesome. Look at this week. They forecasted 3-5 inches in Cleveland and up your way 2-4 and we got a trace. It was suppose to be an area wide snow and it turned into nothing. I then we had to watch every news reporter trump up how "terrible" it was. Only time will tell

Alright, hear is the 10 day forcast for the Indian Lake area: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/43331:4:US  I don't see anything to get my hopes up about unless it gets cold, and STAYS cold!! Please don't get me wrong, I want ice as bad as anyone, I'll wait and see!! I saw pictures taken of Gull Lake in MN and it's open in the middle yet. Same with Mille Lacs!! Open leads on Lake Of The Woods!! People going through the ice all over the place yet!! Lets be patient and don't anyone do anything unsafe!! It's not worth dieing for, or getting wet over!! Please BE SAFE!!!
My two favorite college football teams are Ohio State and whoever is playing Michigan!!!

I will probably be on Indian on the first ice we get.  Hopefully that will be in the next week or two at the most...
