If you're interested in becoming a better ice angler I have a suggestion.
This site is coming along nicely, and if you want information on past catches and the techniques employed, you need look no further than right here.
I spoke to Scott last night during some down time at work. We were discussing a catch of several small Eyes and a nice Perch at Indian in late spring. I mentioned that he could use the experience to pattern a bite at a certain point in the season. Thereby eliminating unproductive water from his fishing plans.
The same holds true for IceFishOhio. We can all share in our experiences and reveal pieces of the Ohio ice fishing puzzle. You can help by posting strong and informing reports on the site. I try to post using either the date and species, or a flashy title and I post in the corresponding lake thread.
Just to recap:
1. Ice conditions and weather conditions
2. Water depth and clarity
3. Target species
4. Technique and tackle
You can provide more detail if you wish, but the report must include enough information to help others determine a pattern.
Remember that pictures are a nice bonus.
