They say it reduces clutter in extremely shallow and/or weedy fishing situations.  I wonder what extremely shallow means? 8-10 foot of water? I used my vex in 4 foot of water with weeds and it was pretty much useless.  I am thinking of getting the S-Cable for my unit but wonder if it will screw me when I fish a lake at 9-10 ft range.

I heard that you need to take it off if you fish deeper water.

The cable will help reduce the power and help in shallow water and weeds. The new 22's have a low power mode so you do not need the s cable. I might have one laying around if i can find it. PM me your phone number and if i find it i will call you.
