I got off of work today and decided to do a drive by of the lake and stop by the outdoorsman. There was 1 guy fishing at the marina but I didn't stop and ask him any info, I then stopped at the bait store and the lady said a few guys had been in and were catching crappie at Andersons or the sportmans club and the ice was reported as 4" thick. I drove to andersons but didn't see anyone on the ice but i did see a few holes punched in the ice.  as for how thick I couldn't tell you, but the lake was froze completely over , which is always a great site to see. going out tomorrow and try long Island hopefully the ice will be good.

Hey WapakDawg, please call it Grand Lake or Grand Lake St. Marys, some of us are kind of sensitive about that!  I hope the ice sticks around.  Look like rain and warm temps are in the forecast next week.  Could ruin a good start to the ice we have.

St. Marys , Grand Lake it's all the same, don't mean to hurt your feelings, but some of us refer to Indian Lake as Indy and Kiser Lake as Kiser. I think i was just trying to put out some info and not worry abouy being politically correct. Sorry if I hurt your inner feelings.

Hey ice dawg,im with ya on the abreviations,all this typing. :-[around me we call our lakes nimi,foot,moggy etc.maybe i will see you down at st.ml. ;)
