Did some pond fishing today.  Chose a pond over the big lakes to stay out of the wind.  Got a big crappie, my only one, a ton of gills, and 2 nice bass that my Dad caught.  Here's some pics of the bounty!  The bass were around 16" each, gills ranged from 3-8 1/2", and the crappie was 14 1/2 inches.  All the fish were released, as it is a catch and release pond, but man that crappie would've tasted good!!!

Catch and release is a good policy for growing large fish.Contracts on a nice fish Ohio crappie.

Thanks!  That pond doesn't have a ton of crappie, but the ones in there are huge.  They go up to 17".  Not bad for my first and only crappie of 2013 so far! ;D

Very Nice Crappie.

I re-sized the crappie for better viewing. The other 2 need re-sized to 480 by 480 for the best viewing.
