Anyone else try using salad shrimp???? Seriously!!! A single bag for $4 lasts forever and I have had just as much luck with the shrimp as I have with maggots!!!! Only thing is they don't stay on the hook as well.  Telling ya! Try it!

I'm want to try this tomorrow, except one problem I have no idea what salad shrimp is. Is it just small shrimp?

What I did was went to walmart and bought a bag of small and large shrimp in the sea food section and thawed 4 pieces out kinda dried them and cut them into lil chunks. small enough to place on the jig. it worked 4 me. dead sticking and slightly jigging. bout half the size of ur jig itself.

Are using the cooked shrimp? I've always used raw. Never through the ice but I've caught a lot of different species of fish on it in soft water.
