Many areas on the northern end of the lake have refrozen and are skimmed over this morning. There is still open water on the North Fork and below the second pull off at Long Island.
The first pull off is completely skimmed over with just a small area of open water near the dredge Island.
The second pull off is about 80 percent skimmed over with open water near the small island. The ice is very clean no snow to be seen.
With low temperatures in the single digits and daytime highs in the teens over the course of the next week. Next weekend has a very good outlook!
As always use extreme caution on early ice, and always be sure to check before entering the ice sheet. Try not to go on the ice in low light conditions and be prepared with the proper safety equipment.
good fishing everybody!
