I am officially calling December 16th the first day of safe ice.

RatherbeFishing fished Indian Lake today and there was 4 inches or more in spots. CRV checked spots on Alum and it also had 4 inches.

Banker was the first to pick December 16th and he is the winner! Great pick!

Since Banker picked the winning date and he is on the pro Staff, Scott will donate the rod to the first picture of a kid holding the 2014 online entry form and his fish on the online tournament board.

Great Idea Scott!

Even though there is 4 inches of ice and the contest has been announce I must reiterate that no ice is safe, especially early ice with snow on top.

You must not fish alone and have a spud bar to check every step.

We do not want to have any deaths in Ohio due to lack of safety precautions!
