Ice Buildup

What is the best method of keeping ice from building up on the trigger mech.

i was going to try either pam or olive oil spray or a pocket sized de-icer for car locks.

and i don't want to use anything bad for the water.

I have never had that problem! And you shouldn't are you letting it sit in the water?
