Hit more of my spots at Deer Creek today with my Dad.  We got some crappie, bluegill, and bass.  Some keeper fish, but nothing overall was that impressive.  Ice was good and solid 12"+ everywhere with minimal snow cover on top.  Fish were hanging around timber in the 10-15' range.  Most of the fish came on small pimples or Northland forage minnows (both are small jigging spoons).  A few fish came on jigs, with chartreuse and red/white being the most popular jig colors.  All the baits were tipped with waxies and spikes.

It took me about 2-3 years to figure the fish out in there.  When I first started fishing there, all I got were dinks.  But since I lived close then, I fished it weekly and learned the lake well, after that, I got into the big crappie.
